The 7th Annual San Dimas HEROES Golf Tournament will be held at Via Verde Country Club on Monday, September 11, 2017. Registration starts at 9AM with a shotgun start at 11AM. A banquet dinner will be provided at 5PM, followed by a raffle and silent auction. So put on your best patriotic attire and join us for a day of golf and fun. The San Dimas Senior/Community Center offers a public cooling center Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Center is located at 201 E. Bonita Avenue, in San Dimas.
All ages are welcome to enjoy the Senior/Community Center's air-conditioned accommodations during extremely hot weather. In particular those persons susceptible to extreme heat, such as the elderly, are encouraged to use the Senior/ Community Center if facing difficulty. Food will not be available.
The Senior/Community Center is open Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed for all major holidays.

Waste Management of San Gabriel Valley's curbside residential trash and recycling and commercial pick-up schedule will be delayed by one day throughout the week of Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. In addition, all Waste Management operations will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4. Customers in San Dimas should place their carts out for pick-up on Wednesday, September 6 for this week only.

Parks Make Life Better! Is the motto of the Parks and Recreation Department and on a recent, bright, and freshing Thursday morning Marcella Sowell and Marilyn Jollevet demonstrated that Parks Make Life Better for residents of all ages!
Marcella and Marilyn took advantage of the new playground equipment at Pioneer Park, enjoying the swings. Both are long-time residents of San Dimas and live just down the street from the park.
Beginning September 14, 2017, the Los Angeles County Fire Department will conduct Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training in Covina. The training is free of charge and will offer the public the opportunity to increase their emergency preparedness skills. Each class will cover different topics in hope of preparing residents for a variety of emergency situations. Seven classes will be offered and will take place on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm - 9:00pm in the Covina City Council Chambers located at 125 E. College Street.
