The City encourages all residents to educate themselves on the dangers of mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile Virus and Zika Virus. We are currently in peak mosquito season (May to November) which increases the chances of exposure to such diseases. In the interest of safety, all residents are encouraged to inspect their property for standing water that may increase reproduction among infected mosquitos and wear mosquito repellant when outdoors.
