Finance Division

Information Systems Management

The Administration Department is responsible for the City's information systems. The IS Administrator provides the technical assistance for maintaining the City's numerous programs and hardware, the safeguard of data, the upgrades for hardware and software, and the budgeting for information system needs. The Finance Division utilizes an iSeries 800 main frame computer to process all of the finance functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Business License. The majority of staff has PC's connected to the City's Local Area Network (LAN) and share printing functions with various types of printers including all in one printer/fax/scan/copiers. The information system connects all City functions so that communication and productive use of the software programs is achieved throughout several locations such as: City Hall, Senior Center, City Yard and the Swim & Racquet Club. The IS Administrator is responsible for the maintaining, upgrading and coordinating of the information on the City's web page.
