Theresa Bruns, Director of Parks and Recreation

The San Dimas Parks and Recreation Department creates community through people, parks and programs. We strive to provide high quality and responsive service to our residents. It is our goal to maintain attractive, safe and well kept public parks, right of ways, medians, public buildings and sport fields. We also provide activities, classes, events and programs that enhance the physical, social and mental well being of residents of all ages.

The Parks and Recreation Department manages all recreation classes and programs, senior services, teen services, parks and green space, street tree and median maintenance and is responsible for the maintenance of all city facilities and the administration of the following programs and services:

  • Community-wide special events

  • Recreation classes

  • Aquatic programs

  • Youth and adult sports leagues

  • Sports field and public building use

  • Senior citizen activities and programs

  • Park beautification and maintenance

  • Publication of the Frontier quarterly newsletter distributed to residents listing programs, services and events.

  • The Swim and Racquet Club

  • The Student Union Teen Center
