The San Dimas Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of youth sports throughout the year. Our goal is to provide a healthy recreation experience, teach the basic fundamentals of the sport and encourage sportsmanship and fair play. Our emphasis is on FUN!
2016-2017 Boys and Girls Basketball
This is a 10 week program that includes practices, jerseys, league games and awards. Each team is coached by trained volunteers or Recreation Staff. Everyone plays in this league. Participants experience teamwork and cooperation while developing fundamental basketball skills. Boys and Girls 3rd grade- 8th grade. Division C - 3rd and 4th grade
Division B - 5th and 6th grade
Division A - 7th and 8th grade
Fee: $80, includes jersey, coach, practices and games
Register Now! Division "C" practices during the week at Allen, Ekstrand, Gladstone and Shull schools. Division "A" and "B" teams chosen by draft.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteers are needed to work in the San Dimas Youth Basketball Leagues as coaches. You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to spend at least two evenings per week and part of Saturday working with the program. C Division practices take place at either Allen, Ekstrand, Gladstone or Shull Elementary schools. Division A and B practice times and locations are set up by each individual coach. Coaching forms are available at City Hall, the San Dimas Recreation Center or by clicking on the following link: Volunteer Coaches Application. *NOTE: All coaches will be fingerprinted prior to acceptance.

This is a six week instructional class where children will be taught the fundamentals of basketball without an emphasis on competition. Children learn skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting. Boys and Girls ages 5-7 years.
This is a six week instructional class where children are taught basic fundamental skills of soccer without an emphasis on competition. Children are taught to pass, shoot, throw-in and trap. Boys and Girls ages 5-7 years.
This is an exciting non-competitive variation of baseball especially suited to young players. Children are taught the fundamentals of baseball while having a great ballpark experience. Games are played at Pioneer Park. Boys and Girls ages 4-6 years. Children are coached by Recreation Leaders.
This program is a six week instructional class where children will be taught the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, t-ball, football, volleyball and other playground sports. Boys and Girls ages 5-7 years.
