In an effort to better prepare you for a potential disaster or emergency, the City of San Dimas has developed a 7 Step Guide to Earthquake Safety for your use as a reference. It is hoped that you and your family will take a minute or two to review the materials gathered within this guide and put them into practice within your home. The better prepared we are as residents, the quicker the recovery stage may be. In addition, this earthquake preparation guide by FEMA can also serve as a valuable resource.
The Family Emergency Preparedness Supplies Calendar is intended to help you prepare for emergencies before they happen. Using the calendar, your family can assemble an emergency kit in small steps over a six month period. Check off each week as you gather the contents. Supplies may be stored all together in a large plastic garbage can or food may be kept on kitchen shelves. Remember to rotate your perishables supplies and change water every six months.
