The City's Redevelopment Agency has for many years, assisted homebuyers purchase their first home in San Dimas. Today, the City's Redevelopment Agency, in partnership with private housing developer William Fox Homes, is offering 1 and 2 bedroom flats at a reduced price to eligible first-time homebuyers with income under 120% of Los Angeles County median income The sales price for the affordable units will be based on income and the number of people in the household. Construction began in summer of 2008 and move-in is slated for summer 2009. For more information or to be placed on an interest list for these units, please register below. For first-time homebuyers, the CDC offers financial assistance with down payment assistance loans including closing cost assistance, federal income tax credits, and below market rate loan programs. CDC offers the Home Ownership Program (HOP), American Dream Down Payment Initiative (ADDI), Mortgage Credit Certificate Program (MCC), the Southern California Home Financing Authority (SCHFA), and Housing and Economic Recovery Ownership (HERO).

They will also be listing foreclosed properties for sale in select Los Angeles cities. These properties will be financed through the CDC's HERO program mentioned above. Purchase of foreclosed properties in the City of San Dimas will not eligible for assistance through the CDC HERO program. All other CDC programs can be used to purchase properties in the City of San Dimas.
