Blaine Michaelis, City Manager

San Dimas utilizes the City Council – City Manager form of local government. This system combines the leadership and decision making of an elected City Council with the managerial experience of an appointed city manager.

Blaine Michaelis was appointed City Manager in January 2000. He assists the City Council in their decision making responsibilities in addition to implementing the City Council’s direction regarding City programs, approving budgets for operations and overseeing capital improvement projects. The San Dimas organization is committed to ethical government – to administer the City’s regulations and programs efficiently and effectively and to be courteous and professional in the process.
