Youth Basketball Coach
The City of San Dimas Parks and Recreation Department offers a basketball league for youth ages 8-14 that emphasizes teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and fun. The program runs from December until March. Coaches must be available for practices two days per week scheduled between the hours of 2:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and games Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (all times approximate). Additional hours for trainings and meetings as assigned.
Under direction this position provides pool supervision, performs rescues, and enforces safety rules and related duties as required. The Lifeguard is a part-time hourly position. This class receives assignments from and reports to the Supervisory Team; must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Staff meetings are mandatory and held on Fridays at 10am.
Under general supervision this position teaches swimming lessons and/or specialized aquatic classes to the public. This position also monitors the use of the swimming pool and enforces safety rules. The Swim Instructor is a part-time hourly position. This class receives assignments from and reports to the Supervisory Team. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Staff meetings are mandatory and held on Fridays at 10 am.
Human Resources Volunteer Intern
Under general supervision, performs routine clerical work, including filing, typing and a variety of administrative duties in support of the City’s Personnel Office.
PLEASE NOTE: This position has no compensation and no benefits, and will not lead to future employment with the city. This position may be used to satisfy school credit or internship requirements.
