The San Dimas Relay For Life Kick-Off Rally will be held on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the Historic Walker House. Relay For Life is an awareness raiser and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. At the kick-off rally, families, caregivers, cancer survivors, members of the community, friends, and family come together to celebrate the beginning of the Relay For Life season. It is an opportunity to learn about the many ways to become involved with Relay For Life. There will be food, drinks, and prizes.

Learn how to save a life with American Red Cross CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for Adult and Child, CPR for Infant and Standard First Aid. Lay responders will be trained to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies. The training will also provide the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life, minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. The class will meet on Saturday, February 20 from 8:00am until 5:00pm at the San Dimas Swim and Racquet Club, 990 W. Covina Blvd. The fee is $30.00 per person, 18 and over.
